In Unit 9, you will submit your World Cultural Perspective paper. If you have not yet read the assignment requirements in Unit 9, do so at this time.
For this assignment, prepare for your World Cultural Perspective paper by completing the following:
1.Provide an update on your research into your selected culture, and share opportunities you have had to gather information about the culture, including opportunities to interact with members of the culture. This might include conducting informal interviews with members of the culture, viewing media presentations and Web sites, and reading books and articles.
2.Provide a list of at least three resources that you have found related to the following. Your resources may include interviews, Web sites, scholarly articles, media, and books that focus on the aspects of the culture you have chosen to study. Cite all references in APA format.
•The social issues, tendencies, and trends of a chosen culture.
•Nonverbal communication within your selected culture and how it affects personal interactions across cultures.
•Other cultural differences that affect personal interactions and communication across cultures.

UNIT 9 REQUIREMENTS:
This paper is one piece of your course project. Complete the following:
•Choose a world culture that is unfamiliar to you and is represented domestically in the United States.
•Use research to collect a variety of resources about the culture. This includes interacting with members of the culture. In particular, focus your research on a small number of social issues surrounding the culture, along with cultural tendencies and trends, and the effect of these things on communication. Types of resources include interviews, media presentations, Web sites, text readings, scholarly articles, and other related materials.
•In a paper of 500–1,000 words, address these things:
◾Investigate the effect that the tendencies, issues, and trends of the culture have on communication.
◾Explain how characteristics of nonverbal communication and other differences between your selected culture and U.S. culture affect personal interactions between members of the two cultures.
◾Connect the research you gathered to your ideas and explanations.
