Objective: to improve descriptive written skills in academic writing
Directions: Review the elements of a description and look at the example on page 161 in your textbook Patterns- Chapter 7“Description” (page numbers may vary).
Assignment: Focus on your major and career path. Select an object, study it carefully, and write an objective description of the object and how it will be used in your field of study.
Do’s and Don’ts: Do not use 2nd person pronouns (you, your); do not use contractions (can’t, don’t); you must type in 12 inch font, times new roman, double spaced, 550 words or more, and save using Microsoft office software, indent paragraphs, send as an attached file.
