I have to deliver a 5 minute speech for a business and professional speaking class. The speech is revolved around an interview that I conducted with a sports official (umpire/referee). During the interview I asked the man what a communication problem was in the umpiring community. The man stated, “Umpires act like cops, they think they are better than everyone and act like they know everything. Umpires act like they have a chip on their shoulder, which makes for a terrible game.†The speech is supposed to be a persuasive speech that convinces a future employer that my solution to their issue. The outline that I am to follow is below.

- Harms (show the problem causes harms/ impact on the bottom line $)

- Describe solution (full description)
- How is solves the harms
- Other advantages
Body 4: Implementation
- Steps to take to implement my solution (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats)
- Associated costs (what will it cost to fix it)
- Call to action (as simple for the audience to perform as possible)
