The University is committed to ensuring fairness in assessment and has established a procedure for dealing with assessment irregularities.
For the purposes of this procedure, an assessment irregularity involves the use of improper means by a candidate in the assessment process. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Copying from or conferring with other candidates or using unauthorised material or equipment in an examination room.
Impersonating or allowing another to impersonate a candidate.
Introducing examination scripts into the examination process otherwise than in the course of an examination.
The falsification (by inclusion or suppression) of research results.

Students are required to follow the submission procedure indicated for each assignment task. Electronic copies must be submitted on Blackboard and a paper copy to the course secretary. Paper copies must be typed, in 1.5 line spacing and must be in a 12 point type face, with the pages properly secured or bound together (i.e. slide binders are not acceptable):
Paper size A4.
Word Processed, 1.5 line spaced throughout, double sided printing is acceptable with pages numbered throughout.
Title Page: include full title in capital letters, module code and title, student name and student number.
Students will only be granted extensions for medical or socio-medical reasons. You should collect a form from the Course Secretary. Complete the form, ask your personal tutor to sign it and return it to the office. All extensions should be approved by the degree programme director.
