What does ISIS, ISIL, DAESH stand for? What do they mean? What can they signify? Who are they? What are they? When and how did they come into existence? Where are they? What do they want? Why are they doing these acts of “terror”? What are the philosophical/moral justifications for these acts of terror? Who funds them? Where do they get their weapons? Who/what type of people do they seem to recruit? Why are young people from affluent countries attracted to them? What are American (USA) politicians saying about what and how to deal with ISIS? What are other politicians from a few other countries saying about what and how to deal with ISIS? Could ISIS be considered a state? If so would this change how we relate to them? Why? What potential problems might arise from these proposed changes? What precedents might be set in the world political arena? What might be some of the potential consequences (intended or unintended / immediate and long term) of these proposed actions? Are there any potential moral concerns which might arise as a result of these proposed actions? Your paper must be typed, double spaced, one inch margins on all sides.
